fireworks displays

Question:

We are to be in Half Moon Bay over the 4th of July.
Can you recommend any public fireworks programs that we could see???

Thanks

Answer:

A local non-profit organization, the Light Up the Sky 4th of July committee, sponsors and organizes a fireworks show each year. The show is scheduled for July 4th, at approximately 9:30 pm. The fireworks are launched from the southern end of Pillar Point Harbor, which is located 4 miles north of Half Moon Bay on Highway 1. For safety precautions, Highway 1 will be closed in the surrounding area, and vehicle traffic is detoured through El Granada. Law enforcement officers will be directing traffic & parking. We recommend that you arrive by 8:30 to get a good spot on the beach for viewing the show. Have fun!
